Who are we?

Our rural preschool utilises extensive gardens and beautiful locality to deliver a full early years curriculum both indoors and out!  Qualified and enthusiastic  staff develop your child’s love of learning in the environment that suits them best!

We are a Committee run pre-school affiliated to the Pre-school Learning Alliance. Our Committee is made up of parents, carers or friends of children attending our group.  The committee are responsible for the overall management of the group and they employ staff to undertake the day to day care and education of the children.

At Bratton Pre-school we strive to offer top quality childcare and education, to this end all staff regularly attend training courses to update their skills. We currently have 3 members of staff holding a Level three qualification. One member of staff that has achieved the Foundation degree.

Where are we?

Nestling in a village at the base of Salisbury Plain, we occupy the Church Institute in the heart of the community.  Not only do we have a spacious hall for indoor activities, we also benefit from a large grass area and patio for outdoor play and learning.

Through a mixture of free-play and  fun adult-led activities we enable our children to develop the skills necessary to become independent learners. We follow the national curriculum for The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

About Us

What makes us different from other Pre-schools

  • We have attained the Pre-School Learning Alliance Accreditation Award
  • We operate at above the national minimum for adult:child ratios.
  • We strongly believe that families are the first educators and carers of their child and actively encourage families to become involved in any aspect of the pre-school
  • We are run by parents for parents and as a registered charity we strive to keep our fees competitive without affecting the quality of our service.
  • All our staff are qualified and highly motivated with many years of childcare experience.
  • We have strong community links with Bratton school and other village organisations.
